Showing a sale badge on your product pictures in your Shopify product page is really important because a sale badge is a visual indicator that immediately catches the eye of potential customers and it creates a sense of urgency and excitement, prompting them to explore the product further, so highlighting the discounted price or limited time offer on your Shopify product page, you are effectively communicating the value of the product and encouraging customers to take advantage of the deal.
Also displaying a sale badge is that it creates a sense of FOMO (fear of missing out) among customers, so when they see that a product is discounted or on sale for a limited time on the Shopify product page, they are more likely to make a purchase right away rather than delaying it.
