Always the orange cat
It always seems to be the orange cats that get up to this sort of crap. They’re always the ones getting into crazy crap for some reason, other cats, being cats, will do dopey and crazy things, but orange cats carry and earn that reputation. Cats are God’s perfect killing machines, hunters and at times in nature hunted, their tools are incredible, their nature both adorable and terrifyingly effective. Cats can normally tell if they’ll fit through a gap or not with their whiskers, simply put, if their whiskers fit a gap, they know that they’ll be able to squeeze the rest of themselves through there too. It might seem like that’s not the case in this instance but the cat started making friction with the gate and due to physics the gate went with the cat. The cat almost certainly got out of it sooner or later, it’s very possible that the cat has gone through that gate many times while it was latched and didn’t know the difference.
The humor here is in the inherent silliness of the cat’s actions, the whole thing is silly and very classic orange cat behavior.
