Professor Niles-Yokum received her doctorate from the University of MD in 2006 and shortly after was appointed the Director of the Consortium Gerontology Studies Program in Worcester, MA. In 2009 she joined the faculty at York College of PA in York, PA. She was the Managing Editor of the peer-reviewed, internationally recognized journal, Gerontology and Geriatrics Education. Dr. Niles-Yokum conducts research in gerontology with a focus on empowerment in late life, the lived experience of programs and services for older adults, and issues related to the end-of- life.
