Linda Shore graduated in product design, and worked initially as a junior shoe designer. Over the years she has explored and worked in a number of industries including retail, banking, and design.
As a result of the economy crash Linda was made redundant in 2010. Linda took this as an opportunity to return to college and up skill her design competencies, and discovered a passion for design research, whereby she could free fall and explore unmet needs with people. Linda became more focused regarding the ageing population and the responsibilities designers have, to understanding and defining solutions that can benefit and enhance the ageing experience during my masters research.
Linda has completed her PhD work which has extended her passion further to explore wearables and robotic devices that can assist/enhance mobility for older adults.
Linda defended her PhD on Wednesday 13th November and we are pleased to announce she passed with minor corrections. Congratulations Linda!!
