African American History of Punta Gorda
Ilijah and Jiya visit the Blanchard House Museum in Punta Gorda to meet Dr.Martha Bireda. There, they learn about several African American families who joined other pioneers to found the settlement of Trabue in 1866. A visit to City Hall introduces them to City Council member Jaha Cummings.
