Historic Taverns of Philadelphia
2013 - The history in Philadelphia is palpable - it's seemingly on every street corner. In this episode we're going to explore that history by exploring the city's historic taverns. Here we'll visit the City Tavern, the stomping grounds of the Founding Fathers, then we'll explore McGillin's Olde Ale House, a legendary Irish pub founded in 1860, finally we'll take a quick trip to Atlantic City, where we find the notorious, gangster-founded, Knife and Fork Inn.
