FocuSSTEM NextGen Live
FocuSStem NextGen Live is a Metaverse event to introduce underrepresented students to the STEM field. Sponsored by the Karmanos Cancer Institute, FocuSStem NextGen, and CrossComm, experts in medicine, science, and computer science guide students to explore realistic virtual environments of an Intensive Care Unit, Operating Room, Laboratory, and Computer room. Live presentations showcasing scientific materials were brought in from the real-world into the virtual space, with dynamic slideshows, 3D anatomical models, and graphics. Students can join in their PC or on their VR headset.
