This is the UK’s thinnest foldable phone yet.
It’s the Honor Magic V3, and we got a sneak peek of this insanely thin handset when Honor swung by our London office.
Folded, it measures just 9.2mm thick, barely any different to most standard, non-folding smartphones, but unfold it and it’s a mere 4.35mm.
Despite this slender build, the Magic V3 feels reassuringly solid in the hand, and Honor claims the titanium alloy hinge is robust enough to handle half a million folds. It’s lightweight too – at just 226g, it actually weighs less than the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Of course, the Magic V3 has more to offer than just a skinny build. It has dual OLED displays, with a 6.43-inch outer screen and a larger 7.92-inch inner panel, both of which offer a smooth 120Hz refresh rate.
The camera system includes a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, a 40MP ultrawide camera, and dual 20MP selfie snappers.
It also looks to be plenty powerful, with the latest, flagship-spec, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, backed up by either 12 or 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage space. Battery life is handled by a 5150mAh cell that supports both 66W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.
We’re going to have a lot more to say about the Honor Magic V3 when it officially launches in the UK but for now, we’re certainly impressed.
