#elonmusk #tesla #robot Only now have the bloody details of the incident that occurred in 2021 become known, when a Tesla engineer at the Giga Texas factory was attacked by an assembly robot. As revealed by DailyMail, the robot attack in 2021 was disclosed in an injury report filed in Travis County and to federal regulatory authorities.

According to the report, two employees witnessed the robot attacking their colleague. The robot, designed to handle newly cast aluminum car parts, pinned the engineer as he was programming software for two nearby disabled Tesla robots. It drove its metal claws into the worker's back and arm, leaving a bloody trail and an open wound.

During the struggle, a coworker managed to press the emergency stop button, freeing the engineer from the robot's grasp. However, in the process, the engineer fell from a height of several feet into a chute of aluminum scrap. It is worth noting that in both twenty twenty one and twenty twenty two, Tesla did not report any incidents related to robot-related injuries at the Texas factory.

The incident wasn’t the only one to happen at the factory. According to reports filed with OSHA, one in every 21 workers at Tesla’s Texas Gigafactory were injured last year. One worker’s ankle was caught under a cart, taking them out of work for 127 days, and another worker suffered a head injury that kept them out of work for three months. The man who was pinned by the robot did not require time off. In 2017, the company recorded 722 injuries, roughly two a day.

Tesla is required to report all injuries at its factory to both the state and county to continue receiving tax breaks.
