Free groceries for NY families: Last week to apply
New Yorkers have one week to apply for free groceries while school is out for summer.
The new Summer EBT program helps low-income families buy groceries over the summer when school meals aren't regularly available for children. The last day to apply is Sept. 3, according to the state's Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance.
