This video is the second in a series of three videos that make up Conversations in Color: AfricaTown USA presented by Amistad Research Center.

"Conversations in Color" features community activist Hannibal Lokumbe and the pastor of Union Missionary Baptist Church of AfricaTown USA, Rev. Derek Tucker. They discuss the cultural restoration of the historic community of AfricaTown, which was founded in 1866 by the survivors of the last documented slave ship to transport enslaved Africans to the Americas.

This virtual program is part of a community day at NOMA honoring Juneteenth.
