A bread hawker, Anjola, lives in a semi-rural neighbourhood in Lagos. She struggles with self-doubt amidst the everyday challenges of living as a lower-class citizen. Anjola's mother, Yinka, is a popular prostitute in the neighbourhood who plays an antagonistic role in her life.
Anjola gets an opportunity to work in a hotel but is afraid of losing this job and going back to
her old life. She seeks the help of an Ifa priestess who guides her in the pursuit for success.
