Remember that YouTube channels are linked to a Google account, and these, in turn, can be of two types.

By creating an email you are creating a personal google account, which will help you access YouTube on all your devices, be it your cell phone, tablet, your Smart TV, laptop or your desktop computer.

Thus, the platform records your search and playback history to show you content that you may like.

But the above does not exactly mean that you have a YouTube channel. Now, in case you created a channel using your name and you want to change it, this would also change the way you appear when you send an email.

Let's get started! Open your YouTube channel and click on your profile icon to display the options menu.

Choose Manage your Google account, as you can see on the screen, you are apparently in the right place where you should be able to change the name of your channel, however, below I show you the correct process.

Click your profile icon again to see your available options. You can read the legend at the top that says: This is a brand account.

Use your mouse to press the Manage account button again.
Notice how the window is more specific. Enter the link Edit account information.

Where it says basic information, click on the space where the name appears.

Press the Edit symbol, write the new name for your YouTube channel and press Save.

To return to Youtube, click on the Applications icon and choose Youtube.
