RAWSTYLE MELODY TUTORIAL | How to Make Rawstyle Melody FL Studio | Melodic Rawstyle (Raw Hardstyle)
In this video I will show you how to make a rawstyle melody in FL Studio. I will be using Sylenth1 for the leads. In am planning to do a video about this lead in the future. Not sure when, but stay tuned!
I am building the melody, looking for dark notes. I found that half notes work really well for rawstyle.
At each segment (chord) I try to make jumps of 1/2 note within the scale (G# minor in this case). Just watch me finish this melody and pay attention to these 1/2 note jumps...
Do you see it? At each 4-beats block the jumps are almost always 1/2 note. This is actually my secret trick when I make rawstyle melodies. I invite you to try it out and shoot me a comment how it helps your melody.
Let's add the lower layer now. Simply fill in the gaps with the lower notes.
The lower notes also play a G# minor melody and are part of the chords of each 4-beats block. Works very well!
Now, let's play some chords with this melody... This sounds pretty epic already!
